La Nucía is located in a quiet valley, 10 km. from Benidorm, 53 km. from Alicante and 115 km. from Valencia. In the north it is next to Polop and Callosa d’en Sarria, in the east to Altea, in the south to L’Alfaz del Pi and in the west to Benidorm. The mountains of Aitana and Aixorta protect La Nucía from cold winds from the north, and in this way the average temperature is of 15 º.Here is La Nucia you get the best from both worlds as you are set in a more qwiet area but have the option to have a late night with some of the best bars and restaurants around, here you will find supermarkets, shops, hairdressers and many more. Near La Nucía you can find the nature reserve Peñón de Ifach which is famous for its ways.
Markets

La Nucia Porvilla has the best known flea market in the Costa Blanca each Sunday(Opening hours: 7 am - 2 pm). Over 400 stalls are presented.
The markets around La Nucia are lively bustling places that are well worth a visit, selling the best fresh fruit and many others like, Furniture, stamps, coins and second-hand goods are displayed over an area stretching over more than 1 km in length. This is a colourful, diverse and lively market.
The beautiful setting where this medieval market is held provides an attractive backdrop to the display of traditional trades.
Bars and Nightlife
La Nucia and the Costa Blanca have some very lively nightlife with most places both in the large resorts and in the smaller towns staying open until the early hours of the morning. There are always many bars offering live music and some of the larger hotels put on after dinner dancing. Benidorm has plenty of good nightclubs which tend to really kick off after about twelve midnight and continue on till whenever they feel like. Food in La Nucia
La Nucia offers an interesting and international kitchen; in the city center as well as on the outskirt of the city there are many nice restaurants. Lover of the traditional kitchen certainly can enjoy traditional food as well as the rice dishes such as “arros cuinat”, meat balls or “minxo a la paleta” (a type pancake with different ingredients, e.g. vegetable and fish).
In La Nucia are also the popular sausage specialties, the different sorts from “sobrasada” to “llonganissa” and “butifarra de ceba”.
