Getting to Benidorm
|
More and more people are booking their holidays independently to take advantage of the great deals available, and the flexibility of being able to travel when they you want to. Your flights and accommodation are booked, and that means you just have your transfers to confirm, and you are on your way! This normally means when you arrive at Alicante Airport you have to wait for other people to find their luggage, and transport vehicle, and then various stops en route until you finally reach your destination. Often you can spend longer getting from Alicante Airport to your holiday home, than it takes to fly to Alicante from the UK.
Alicante Private Transfers offer you a first class professional service, that will get you to your chosen accommodation, whether it be a hotel in Benidorm or a private villa in Javea, in the shortest possible time. We meet flights 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and have a range of fully licensed and insured vehicles and drivers ready and waiting to take you straight to your holiday accommodation, so that in no time at all you are ready to begin your holiday. SOUNDS LIKE GOOD NEWS? - Well it gets better, ALICANTE PRIVATE TRANSFERS offer prices that are so competitive they are often cheaper, than using a shared transfer service. Hiring A Car
Hiring a car in Benidorm is reletively easy and cheap, you will need:
Your passport
Driver’s licence
Your credit car (sometimes a Meastro debit card is accepted)
Prices start at around 35 Euros per day including insurance for a small car such as a new Fiat Panda (new style), Chevy Matiz or similar.
Taxis
There are many taxi ranks dotted around Benidorm, you can use a taxi from the rank or ask your hotel reception to call one for you. They are slightly cheaper than in the UK and most cars are modern and comfortable.
Buses
The bus stops are easy to spot and each stop shows a sign with the bus times and a map to show the route. The routes are colour coded and numbered, you will soon get the hang of it. The buses are also quite modern and most have air-conditioning.
The price is about 90 cents (about 60p) per trip anywhere on the main bus routes. The bus routes run all the way from Carrefour and the Shopping center to the Hotel Bali right the way through Benidorm Old Town, Levante beach and also through Alfaz, Albir and into Altea. So you can actually have a day out on the bus for just over a pound each!!
Quick TIP: Please remember that when you leave the bus, you should exit by the door to the centre of the bus and not try to make your way to the front! The doors will open automatically.
Trains
The train station is located to the north of the Old Town. The trains will take you south to Alicante or North via Altea to Denia. From Denia you can take a ferry to Ibiza or Palma de Mallorca.
The local trains are being replaced by the new Alicate Tram system which will see new modern trams running on the narrow gauge railway from Alicante to Denia.
Limon Express
The Limon Express is currently out of service - we will keep you updated.
